Rolling graphite bearing has good self-lubricating performance and can run dry without lubricating oil. Compared with other bearings, graphite bearings also have high thermal conductivity, low coefficient of linear expansion, rapid cooling and heat resistance and so on. However, graphite products are brittle materials with low hardness. Its mechanical strength depends on its structure and process conditions. Which material is suitable for graphite bearing as impregnant should be determined according to the working conditions of the bearing. Phenolic resin, furan resin, epoxy resin and so on are used to impregnate graphite bearings.
